THERCAST for Ingot and Continuous Casting Simulation
Thercast enables the determination of optimum casting speed, and the investigation of alternative mold designs, liquid metal temperatures and cooling profiles, during the continuous and semi-continuous casting of steel, aluminium and copper alloys.
Thercast simulates the filling and cooling of large ingots showing resulting temperature changes in the ingot and mold, liquid/solid interface, natural convection in the liquid zone, shrinkage, air gap between ingot and mold, internal stress and significant voids. It can be used to optimise the casting product and process.
Technology Management Services is the exclusive agent for a range of simulation software products from Transvalor SA, France. The exclusive area includes Australia, New Zealand, United States of America, Canada and Mexico.
